Originally created in 1845 and named after London's Boodle's Gentleman's Club, St. James's, London (est. 1762), this gin has a rich history. In the 1980s Boodles London Dry Gin was still only available at Boodles Gentleman's Club or on the US and Japanese market. Making it available to the general British public would have been unthinkable. Still, that didn't mean it wasn't a British classic!
Having been discontinued and then revived, this bottle is not to be confused with its current incarnation said recent revival.
We particularly enjoy the double-sided label that, after a few Martinis might make it difficult to determine which is front and which is back. Not that it matters, mind...
