What's in a name?  Meaning "a point and a half" in Piedmontese (the language of the Piedmont area in northwest Italy in which Turin is located) the official line is that "Punt e Mes" is one "point" sweet to a "half-point" bitter, which puts it somewhere between sweet red vermouth and Campari. It seems that the difference between Carpano 'Punt e Mes' as Vermut Amaro and Red Vermouth is really down to what Carpano decided to write on the label, which changes from bottle to bottle.  This is why you'll see Carpano categorised as a Red Amaro as well as Red Vermouth.

Whichever which way, it's delish.

Normally when you see a box this long emblazoned with red roses you think Tommy gun in a flower box, Mob hit, etc.  But in this case you simply receive four gorgeous bottles of 1970s Punt e Mes bottled at the punchier 16.5%!  Salute!
