This classic vermouth amaro from Carpano dates from the 1960s.
Meaning "a point and a half" in Piedmontese (the language of the Piedmont area in northwest Italy in which Turin is located) the official line is that "Punt e Mes" is one "point" sweet to a "half-point" bitter, which puts it somewhere between sweet red vermouth and Campari.
Please note that the label has suffered a little over the past fifty-odd years.
