This is an amber-coloured sweet dessert wine from the Comanderia region of Cyprus and aged in oak for a minimum of two years.
This wine is as originally made during the Crusades by the Knights Hospitaller of the Order of St. John of Jerusalem from the vines of the Commanderie of Kolossi Castle, Cyprus.
It is still made today (although the nomenclature has strayed to 'Commandaria') but this bottle dates from the 1950s.
