A single-barrel rye whiskey from WhistlePig, this is the eighth edition of the exceptional Boss Hog range. It's called LapuLapu's Pacific in honour of the legendary Filipino warrior LapuLapu, who killed Ferdinand Magellan at the Battle of Mactan and, in doing, delayed the Spanish occupation of the islands by over forty years. Appropriately the whiskey, aged first in American oak, was transferred to casks that previously held single island small batch rum from the Philippines for a second maturation that lasted up to a decade.
