This is a H. B. Fearon Block & Co. bottling of French Brandy from the 1898 Vintage.  H.B. Fearon & Son was acquired by Block and the two were incorporated in 1906.  Until unearthing this bottle, we were unaware that Block, Grey & Block had also acquired William Alex Smith & Co. of Liverpool at an unknown date.  Later the company was called Grey & Block (incorporating H.B. Fearon & Son) and finally just Block, Grey & Block with no recognition of either Fearon or Smith at 26 South Audley Street, London, W.1., now Harry's Bar, an exclusive Members' Club.

We have their bottling of the 1928 Grande Champagne, the 1936 vintage Borderies and their 1937 vintage Exshaw in stock and have had the 1948 vintage, both of which received rave reviews from our customers.
