This bottle is from the 1930s, packaged in the prohibition period "Gates" bottle, it hails from Hiram Walker's whiskey plant in Peoria Illinois. Once prohibition ended Hiram Walker came to Peoria and renovated what had been originally been the Cole Distillery, spending more than $12 Million and making it the largest distillery in the world at the time. And make no mistake, when Hiram Walker came to Peoria they brought their smooth-whiskey-making-know-how with them.
